Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band comes to Flat Iron Oct. 21

The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, at Flat Iron Crossroads in Gloucester.

Nominated three times for the Billboard Music Awards, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band has been described as “the greatest front-porch blues band in the world,” said a press release, with leader Reverend Peyton described as “the premier finger picker playing today.”

Peyton has earned a reputation as “a singularly compelling performer” who studied in Clarksdale, Mississippi, under such blues masters as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour, and David “Honeyboy” Edwards, said the release.

Doors will open an hour early so those attending can order a drink from inside at the bar and food from Shore Bites Food Truck. Tickets are $20 for adults and are available online at flatironcrossroads.com. Children ages 10 and under admitted free.
