Resource council meets Wednesday

The Gloucester Resource Council will meet Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Gloucester Library’s community room.

GRC, a network of human service agencies and organizations, businesses and community members that discuss and share information and resources, has two working subcommittees formed to address identified issues in the community.

Gloucester County spokesperson Christi Lewis said a poverty subcommittee and a housing subcommittee are planning initiatives to improve services and resources. Recently, a new basic needs assistance brochure was compiled and printed for distribution throughout Gloucester and posted on the resource council’s website at www.gloucesterva.info/grc.

Monthly meetings are open to representatives of nonprofit and faith-based organizations as well as any interested citizen. For more information on the council, call Gloucester’s community education department at 693-5730.
