Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner Bryant Parson has brought his practice Resilience Med-Psych to Main Street, Gloucester. Parson opened his first office a little over a year ago in Newport News and will be splitting his time evenly between the two offices. “My weeks are weird because I work long hours, so I do seven on, seven off,” he explained. “Every other Thursday, Friday and Saturday I’ll be up here [in Gloucester] and then down there [in Newport News] for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.” Though he has set hours, if his patients need to see him, Parson doesn’t mind coming in whenever needed, he said. “New patients will always be scheduled within a week—if their schedules allow for it, so I don’t have a super long waitlist.” Parsons, along with his wife and two cats, George and Bill, live on a house boat and plan to move it to Gloucester Point, halfway between both offices. “My wife and I, when we first met, lived on this little island off Texas and we would ...
