The Mathews County Republican Committee will be set up this weekend during Market Days. The party center will be located in the area next to Food Lion from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The area will include a bounce house and obstacle course for children of all ages. Republican candidates for local offices will be in attendance to meet with residents. Candy Eubank and Fran Cory, facilitators of “A Girl and a Gun” club at Green Top Sporting Goods, will be in attendance to discuss 2nd Amendment rights, as well as Dr. Sheila Furey, president of the Virginia Medical Freedom Alliance, who will discuss individual rights to medical freedom in the state, a release stated.
