Since her retirement almost 20 years ago, Renée was an active member of the Mathews County community. She was a member and former president of the local DAR chapter, a member of Mathews Woman’s Club, and actively supported the local arts council and library.

An avid bridge player, Renée also enjoyed entertaining friends and family, collecting antiques, and finding bargains and treasures at local estates and yard sales, auctions and thrift stores.

Renée will also be remembered for her style and sense of fashion. She enjoyed dressing up, and she would light up an event with her carefully chosen outfits, from matching sunglasses, purses, and shoes, to coordinated classic attire for every event!

We will miss Renée’s zest for life and her love for family and friends.

May she be in God’s care, and peace and serenity.
