More than 150 people gathered on June 30, 2009 to designate the Gloucester postal facility as the Congresswoman Jo Ann S. Davis Post Office. The First District member of Congress, who resided in Gloucester, had died in 2007. Special guests at the ceremony included, from left, Gloucester postmaster Tracy Sigler, Pastor Bob Collins, the Congresswoman’s widower Chuck Davis, her successor Rep. Rob Wittman, Postal Service District Manager Jacob Cheeks, and members of Boy Scout Troop 111.
