Ware Academy and the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic are again teaming up to host the third annual Bobby Stewart Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Williams Wharf Landing. Race distances include a 5K, 8K and a one-mile fun run for kids 10 and under.

This year, race support and finish line results will be provided by the Peninsula Track Club and the 8K run is part of the Williams Wharf Race Series.

The event is held each year in honor of the late Dr. Stewart, a devoted volunteer physician for the clinic and an ardent supporter of Ware Academy where he served on the board, and his two youngest children attend school. The event is a celebration of Dr. Stewart’s spirit of giving. Proceeds benefit the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic and the Ware Academy Scholarship Fund and Financial Aid.
