Registration opens this week for the 12th annual Kekoka Yoga Retreat, which will be held at Camp Kekoka in Kilmarnock the weekend of Sept. 10-12, according to retreat chair Susan Johnson. The theme of this year’s retreat is “Awaken.”
“We are so happy to have the retreat back in full form for 2021,” said Johnson. Pandemic restrictions in 2020 forced the retreat to be broken up into two days: a virtual retreat held via Zoom in May and a one-day, on-site retreat at Camp Kekoka in October.
The cost of the weekend for early registrants is $195 and includes yoga classes for all levels, lodging, farm-to-table breakfasts and lunch, paddleboard yoga, a zipline and more. Early registration opens today, Thursday, July 1. After Aug. 1, the cost is $225. All proceeds provide scholarships to YMCA/APYC Camp Kekoka summer campers.
“This retreat sells out every year,” said Johnson, “so we’re encouraging folks who know they want to attend to register early.”
