‘Reflecting a Life of Love’ collection on display Sept. 3

An art exhibit of the personal collection of Dean and Cam Williams, “Reflecting a Life of Love,” will be on display at First Friday at Arts on Main, to be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3. It is free and open to the public.

The original artwork and collectibles, described as “vibrant and eclectic,” reflects the couple’s “commitment to community, lifetime of advocacy on behalf of pets in need, and appreciation of nature’s beauty,” said a press release. It will be on display until Sept. 28.

All proceeds from sales will benefit the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society’s fundraising goal of $150,000 to cover medicine and medical supply costs for homeless pets in the year ahead.

The evening will feature music by acoustic singer-songwriter Jerry Sowers of Newport News. He sings traditional and original folk music, with song subjects that range from humorous to serious social concerns.
