Reedville Classic Boat Show to be held Sept. 10

More than 40 antique and classic boats, including a replica of the Virginia Sloop Luna, will be on display on Saturday, Sept. 10, along Cockrell Creek in Reedville for the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum annual Classic Boat Show.

Tickets are $10 for adults and children under 12 are free. The ticket price includes admission to the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum as well as the boat show exhibits and events. The boats will be on display at various docks in Reedville and attendees can walk to all locations or ferry between docks on the historic Elva C.

Other events include a 100th birthday celebration for the Elva C., a Chesapeake Bay style deck boat, a Nautical Flea Market, a raffle, Po Boy Café and beer garden. Author and Southside Sentinel reporter Larry Chowning will also be reading and signing books under the pavilion.
