Recognizing volunteers

Miller’s Services and Chesapeake Bank are sponsors of Gloucester County’s Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, which is scheduled for next Thursday, July 18, at the Gloucester American Legion Hall, White Marsh. The dinner is an event to recognize the contributions volunteers bring to the county on a regular basis. It will include volunteers who contribute to various county departments such as Emergency Management, Community Engagement, Parks and Recreation, Gloucester Library and others. The dinner is being catered by Scoot’s BBQ and will include raffles, a special video dedicated to volunteers and more. Here, Emily Scott, executive assistant for Miller’s presents a check to Quinton Sheppard, Gloucester County’s Community Engagement and Public Information Manager, whose department is organizing the event. Miller’s Services donated $1,000 toward the celebration, while Chesapeake Bank contributed $500.
