CURRIED FRUIT

1/3 c. butter or margarine

¾ c. brown sugar

2-3 tsp. curry powder

1 #2 can pear halves

1 #2 can peach halves

1 #2 can pineapple chunks

½ c. toasted almonds

Melt butter, add sugar and curry. Drain and dry fruits. Mix together and heat in a 425 degree oven for 20 minutes.

BROCCOLI SALAD Madeline Horner

6 c. raw broccoli in small bits 1 c. raisins 1 small onion, sliced thin 12 slices bacon, cooked crisp and broken in small pieces ¼ c. celery, cut in small pieces

Dressing

1 Tbs. balsamic vinegar 1 c. mayonnaise ¼ c. sugar Mix together all ingredients for salad and then pour in dressing, blending it in gently.
