An opening reception for Small Works, an exhibit of artwork created by more than 25 local and regional Virginia-based artists, will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Arts on Main in Gloucester.

The reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The exhibit be showcased at the gallery until Saturday, Dec. 30.

Arts on Main is also holding its Holiday Marketplace during the month of December, featuring affordable artworks that can be used for gift-giving and stocking stuffers. Pieces include paintings, pottery, glass pieces, jewelry, cards, fiber arts, wood, and more.
