“Fantastic Fiber,” an exhibit exploring the ways artists incorporate fiber into their work as a means of expression, opens with a reception from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Bay School Community Arts Center, Main Street, Mathews.
The exhibit will showcase fiber use in both 2D and 3D pieces by 17 Virginia artists, including collage, pottery, weavings, wearable art, jewelry, and many other clever examples of fiber use in artwork.
Artists will be on hand to meet those attending, and drinks and finger foods will be served.
The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 24.
