REBECCA LANDMAN ‘BECKY’ MCNEIL

Rebecca Lea Landman “Becky” McNeil, 62, of Mathews, died peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, with her family and friends by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Helen Landman; sister, Judy, and her first husband, Boyd Shifflett.

She is survived by her loving husband, Spencer; daughter, Melissa (Jeff); granddaughter, Madison; brother, Dave (Helen); sister, Deborah; a host of beloved relatives and friends, and a precious unique uncle, Hugh Ragland.

Becky retired from DuPont Chemical and worked at the Riverside Walter Reed Hospital Gift Shop after her retirement.

She loved her “kids,” Tinkerbell and Sir Earl Pickles, and enjoyed watching beautiful views from her porch and sunroom and catching crabs from her pier.

Becky never met a stranger and touched the lives of every person she encountered. She breezed through life with reading, laughter, music, song and dance.

A celebration of her life was conducted by the Rev.  Ed Lilley on Sunday, Aug. 27 at the Peninsula Funeral Home Chapel, Newport News.
