A funeral for Raymond Maurice Gaddis, 76, of Gloucester, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. He died May 4, 2016.

He was born in McComb, Illinois, and served in the U.S. Navy, retiring in October 1989 after 30 years of service. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Inez Gaddis, and his brother, Merlyn Gaddis.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Donna G. Gaddis; sons, Jeffery Gaddis, Rodney Gaddis, and Gordon Gaddis; daughter, Tina Powell; 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

The service was conducted by the Rev. John Downs. Interment with military honors followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
