RAYMOND E. MILLER

Raymond E. Miller, 73, passed away on Sept. 10, 2012 at his home in Gloucester, Va., with his family by his side.

Raymond retired as a Chief Warrant Officer from the U.S. Army having served three tours of duty in Korea and one in Vietnam. He also retired from the State of Virginia in 1997.

Ray was an active member of Bellamy United Methodist Church, the Methodist Men, and also served with the Stephen Ministries.

He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy W. Miller; his parents, Richard E. Miller and Lillian D. Miller, brother, Richard D. Miller; sisters,  Marlene Sebring and Lisa Miller, and grandson, Nathan S. Miller.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Helen Miller; son, Bradley Miller and his wife Linda; granddaughter, Stephanie Miller; his sisters, Kathleen Newton and her husband Melvin, and Bonnie McDougall; brother, Glen Miller, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in Peninsula Memorial Park by the Rev. Kenneth Waclo. There will be a reception for the family following the service in Bellamy U.M. Church fellowship hall from 5-7 p.m.
