Rappahannock Concrete opens Hampton plant, makes personnel changes

White Marsh-based Rappahannock Concrete Corp. recently opened a new concrete plant in Hampton and corporate officials also announced several personnel changes.

Scott Finney of Ware Neck, president of the company, said the new plant, Rappahannock Concrete’s sixth, is located on 58th Street in the Copeland Industrial Park, Hampton. The plant expands the company’s Peninsula service, as it complements a branch plant already in operation in Newport News, Finney said.

Eight employees work at the new plant, said Cara Randolph of Deltaville, Rappahannock Concrete’s secretary/treasurer. Randolph, who is Finney’s sister, said the company has a total of 60 employees.

Six mixer trucks have been assigned to the Hampton plant, Finney said. Rappahannock Concrete has a total of 65 vehicles, of which 32 are mixer trucks, Randolph said.
