Randy Leon Jefferson of Gloucester, died on Monday, March 30, 2026. He was born in Bronxville, New York, on January 21, 1955; he was 71 years old. Randy spent his early years Tuckahoe, New York, before moving to New Cassel, New York, the unincorporated village of Westbury, Long Island, New York, where he spent his formative years. Randy excelled in Little League baseball as a pitcher. He graduated from Westbury High School where he played basketball. He continued his education at Morehouse College, graduating and receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Finding pleasure in the occupation of Social Work, he accepted employment for the City of New York. He concentrated on placing homeless, unsheltered, and evicted individuals with housing and helping them get off the streets.
He enjoyed singing and whistling with a vast collection of music across many genres and had an assortment of both music CDs and DVDs.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Regina Jefferson. He is survived by his brother, Ronald Jefferson.
Funeral services will be held at Forrest Brothers Funeral Home, Hudgins, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, with a viewing beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing until the time of the service.
