RANDOLPH L. ’RANDY’ RODGERS

Randolph L. “Randy” Rodgers, 73, of Hayes, died at home on March 26, 2017.

Randy attended the Augusta Military Academy. He was the founder of Hayes Auto Sales where he could be found on any given day. When weather permitted he enjoyed sporting in his favorite car, none other than a Corvette.

He was a member of the Achilles Masonic Lodge #281, A.F. & A.M., Transportation Lodge, Shriners and the Scottish Rites. Randy worked hard to support the children, a cause he truly believed in.

He loved to fish, be on the water and loved animals. He was a family man who enjoyed being with his family and always supporting them. Randy has left many great memories and he will be missed.

He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur G. Sr. and Dorothy Jones Rodgers, and brother, Art “Sonny” Rodgers.

He is survived by his soul mate of 26 years, Denise Rothwell; children, Randolph “Chip” Rodgers Jr. (Kim), Keith Rodgers (Laurie), Shawn Kohlman (Livy), Bradley Rodgers and Callie Kohlman; brother, Kenneth Rodgers; sister, Beverly Rodgers; special sister-in-law, Belle Jo Rodgers, and 12 grandchildren.

A celebration of life conducted by the Rev. Arthur L. Wolz, Jr. will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 3 o’clock.

In memory of Randy, contributions may be given to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
