RANDOLPH ARTHUR MUNZ

Randolph Arthur Munz, 70, of Port Haywood, passed away peacefully at his home on Nov. 18, 2015. 

Randy was born July 21, 1945 in Roselle, N.J., to Arthur and Charlotte Heitmann Munz. He was a member of St. Mary’s By the Sea Episcopal Church in Point Pleasant, N.J. He was a graduate of Roselle High School and Grove City College, Pennsylvania. As a career, Randy was a comptroller for various manufacturing plants in New Jersey and Virginia. He then became a cabinetmaker, including making repairs on Bruce Springsteen’s bed! With his wife, Pat, Randy founded Pat’s Deli in Brielle, N.J. Upon retirement, the family moved to Mathews, Va., where Randy started driving carrier trucks for Tatterson Greenhouses. 

Randy is survived by his wife, Pat; daughters, Sherry Campisano (Joe), Roberta Pyne (Ray), Heather Gregg (Daniel); a son, Randy Munz II (Melissa), 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held at Christ Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21.
