Ramsey retires after 37 years as G-J graphics technician

After 37 years on the staff of the Gazette-Journal, graphics technician Arlene Ramsey of Gloucester retired June 29.

Ramsey joined the paper in 1980, composing ads by pasting waxed strips of typeset words onto forms the final size of the order. She moved with the staff into the computer age and gained proficiency in many photo and design programs, retiring as a master of ad and job work production.
