Ramona Atherton Nicastro, age 90, of Cobbs Creek, passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2019 at an assisted living facility surrounded by family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Philip C. Nicastro; her mother, Charlotte Atherton Bryan; maternal grandparents, George and Edna Soles Atherton, and two special aunts, Myrtle Atherton Diggs and Pauline Atherton Simmons.  

She is survived by three children, Mona Bell of Virginia Beach, Phyllis Nicastro of Cobbs Creek, and Tony Nicastro from Memphis, Tennessee. She has seven grandchildren, Billy Beckner, David Beckner, Kelly Raia, Christian Wathen, Jennifer Proctor, Kaycee Howington, and Anthony Nicastro.  She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Carrington of Cobbs Creek.
