Ralph Edward O’Ferrell, 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Mathews County, Va., after an extended illness.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. Interment followed at Guilford Memorial Park.

Ralph was born on January 12, 1939 in Greensboro, N.C., to the late Raymond and Blanche O’Ferrell.

Ralph was a longtime member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ and a current member of Locust Grove Global Methodist Church, Dutton.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy O’Ferrell; brother, Howard O’Ferrell, and sister, Carol Ann O’Ferrell.

He is survived by his daughter, Roxanne O’Ferrell Yarina and husband Frank; granddaughters, Amber (Sean) Henderson and Brooke (Kyle) Boswell.

The family received friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Chapel, 1118 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, N.C. 27401.
