RALPH ‘CAPTAIN’ SCOTT

Mr. Ralph “Captain” Scott passed away on May 5, 2024, with family by his side. Mr. Scott was born on January 21, 1952, in Lancaster, Virginia, to the late Richard and Goldie Scott. He was employed as an electrician at the shipyard for 20 years before going to work for Vepco. Upon retirement, he opened his own car dealership. “Captain Ralph” loved boats and muscle cars, the Corvette being his favorite.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Amy Scott Griffin (Daniel); son, Jamie Scott (Jennifer); stepson, David Pendleton; grandchildren, Parker Scott, Chelsey Scott, and Heather Jurgensen; Carl Jones whom he loved as if he was his own child; special friend, Sandy; brothers, Jerry and Billy Scott; sisters, Ann and Betsy Scott; fur grand babies, Lola Jane and Daisy Mae, and his best bud, Mickey Mic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Frances Bell Scott; wife, Eilene Scott; brothers, Richard and Andrew Scott, and sister, Dorothy Scott.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, in the chapel of Bristow Faulkner Funeral Home, with Pastor Richard Smith conducting.
