Rally for gun safety

The Gloucester Virginia Democrats held a rally to end gun violence Saturday at the Gloucester Main Street court circle. Gun violence survivor Jay Crandell and retired U.S. Army Colonel and First Congressional District candidate Herb Jones spoke at the rally. The protestors walked up and down Main Street with their signs, advocating for gun safety. March for Our Lives, the youth-led organization created by students who survived the 2018 mass shooting at Parkland, Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, said that more than 450 such protests were held across the country.
