Queens Creek Outfitters now a flea market

Queens Creek Flea Market opened for business in mid-May at 2066 Buckley Hall Road, Cobbs Creek.

Located at the intersection of Routes 3 and 198, the building previously housed Queens Creek Outfitters for 12 years. Jerry Thrash, who owned that bait and tackle shop, now rents out table space for vendors to sell an assortment of wares on Fridays and Saturdays.

Thrash said his indoor flea market offers shoppers heat in the winter and cool air in the summer, and he plans to operate the new business year-round. Thrash is assisted in running the business by his wife, Pat. She previously was manager at Queens Creek Outfitters.

They have 4,900 square feet of space on the first floor, and another 2,000 square feet of unfinished space on the second floor, which they plan to ready for future vendor space.

The Thrashes said the vendors are mostly from the Middle Peninsula and many have their own followings. Also popular is the Thrashes’ dog Harry, a mixed breed.
