Ten athletes took part Monday in the Run + Kayak Put-In Creek Duathlon held by the Mathews Outdoor Club. The course was a 3-mile run from Mathews Court House to Williams Wharf, and a 2.5-mile paddle back to Put-In Creek Landing. Jay Paul was the first individual finisher, in 54.52.4, followed by Doug Paredes. Two relay teams were also formed, with one member doing the run leg and one the paddle leg. Wiley Mulholland’s team was first of the two.
