Pumpkin Patch fundraiser begins Sunday

Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, will hold its annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser beginning Sunday and continuing through Oct. 31.

Pumpkins will be for sale at the church to support future missions of Abingdon’s youth. The theme for this year’s event is, “From the Pumpkin Patch to the Mission Field.”

Last year’s event supported the work of Abingdon teens who traveled to Roanoke, according to Carolyn Teclaw, director of Christian formation for the church. While they were there, youth fed the hungry, repaired houses, and planted community gardens.

Pumpkins may be purchased from 11:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. on weekends. Pumpkins in a variety of colors and sizes will be available. ...
