Pumpkin Pandemonium underway at library

Pumpkins are now available at Mathews Memorial Library for Mathews Main Street’s annual pumpkin decorating activity, Pumpkin Pandemonium.

Main Street Committee Chair and Library Director Bette Dillehay said the free pumpkins are available along with free decoration kits for families to use in creating their own jack-o’-lanterns. The kits and pumpkins will be available, one per family, while supplies last.

In addition, the library has created a “how-to” video with the help of Bay School Community Arts Center to demonstrate how library staff used the center’s decoration kit to carve a pumpkin. The five-minute video is available at youtube.com/watch?v=OZxYx8a0STA.

Once completed, return the carved pumpkin to the library for display or send a picture to staff@mathewslibrary.org.Pumpkins on Main
