The Mathews County Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors will meet in the historic courthouse at 7 p.m. Tuesday to hold a joint public hearing on a conditional use permit request.

Robert Blake of Mathews has requested a conditional use permit to allow a travel-trailer on a temporary basis at 458 Tabernacle Road. The property is zoned rural.

A planned second public hearing—a request by Kevin and Susan Wade of Deltaville to rezone property on Risby Town Road from off-water residential to waterfront commercial—has been postponed.

During the planning commission that will follow, planners will review changes to the comprehensive plan, and perhaps make a recommendation on whether to adopt the revised document, according to planning and zoning director Thomas Jenkins. The plan has been under mandatory review for more than a year.
