Pruitt Automotive relocated from White Marsh to Route 17, Gloucester Point, in early February.

Owner Paul Pruitt of Hayes said that business has been good at the new site, which offers more inventory than at his previous location. He buys, sells and trades a variety of late model, previously used cars, light trucks and sport utility vehicles. Pruitt said that he has 15-25 vehicles for sale on his lot, plus can quickly get almost any used vehicle a customer might be looking for.
Pruitt started his business about three years ago. He runs the business full-time. His fiancée, Shari Young of Hayes, helps out occasionally. She also works as an X-ray technician at Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock.

Before starting his own business, Pruitt said he worked at two Peninsula auto dealerships for a total of more than 20 years.
