Pruitt Automotive, LLC, opened May 27 at its new location on Route 17, Ordinary. The business started about five years ago, and had been located on Route 17 at Gloucester Point for about three years.

Paul Pruitt, owner, sells used cars and light trucks, both domestic and foreign models. He buys cars at auctions and through other means, trying to have 15-25 vehicles at his new location. He has a larger facility now, with two sales lots, one in front of his building and the other to the rear.

This time of year is busy in the used car business, Pruitt said, as a lot of college and high school graduates are looking for reliable transportation for their new jobs. He said he tries to have a nice selection of affordable vehicles, usually from $4,000 to $20,000.

He also has a separate business, Pruitt Wholesale, which sells cars to dealers, operating that business for about one year.
