Property reassessment notices in the mail

Gloucester property owners can expect to receive their 2015 final reassessment notices in the mail by Tuesday, according to county assessor Derek Green.

He said this round of notices, currently at the printing company for processing, will serve as the official assessment and will reflect all changes that were made during the administrative appeal period.

Property owners who still believe their real property assessment is inaccurate can appeal their assessment to the county’s Board of Equalization. Completion of a Board of Equalization appeals form is required and must be

submitted no later than Feb. 1. If still unsatisfied, the property owner can appeal their assessment through the Circuit Court.
