The Strong Roots for a Healthy Future Conference will offer a program on "Cultivating Care for the Journey: Supporting Children with Special Needs" on Nov. 3 at The Place at Innsbrook in Glen Allen.

Dr. John Harrington, a pediatrician and father of a 16-year-old son with autism, will be the guest speaker. Harrington is the director of general pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk.
