The Professional Croquet Association is bringing a Pro Croquet Tour event to the Middle Peninsula this week.The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club in Hartfield is hosting the 2021 PFC Hoop Maker Masters Friday through Sunday. PFC Hoop Maker is a top-level international mallet-making company and is sponsoring this professional tour event.Forty-two top croquet players from across the United States are coming to Virginia to compete for honors and prize money in this event.

About half of the players are Pro Tour Qualified based on their high finished in regional and national titled events. These pros will start play on Friday morning in a round of 32. The other half of the participants will start play on Thursday morning hoping to qualify for the remaining 12 spots in Friday’s round of 32. Play is expected to be fiercely competitive.
