Winners of the Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association’s Oct. 21 competition at the Hartfield course (Individual Stroke Play-Net) were:

First flight—Nina Carter (first place-scorecard tiebreaker, 70), Julie Whitaker (second place, 70) and Martha Wiggs (third place, 74). Second flight—Christi Lewis (first place, 71), Ann Stanley (second place, 76) and Bobbie Stuck (third place, 77). Third flight—Bev Hudgins (first place, 82), Patty Beckstoffer (second place, 85) and Lynne Richardson (third place, 86).

Season finale

The PRLGA completed golf play for the season on Oct. 28. Results of that Captain’s Choice contest were:First place—Christi Lewis, June Klink, Mary Dorman and Martha Wiggs (team score of 71); second place—Gina Custis, Chrystal Welch and Bev Hudgins (team score of 73) and, third place—Vicky Gunn, Lisa Lavery and Patty Beckstoffer (team score of 74).
