Winners of the Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association’s July 9 play day (Individual Stroke Play—Gross) were:

First flight—Nina Carter (first place, 83), Vicky Gunn (second place, 92) and Christy Pitts (third place, 93). Second flight—Chong Hudgins (first place, 88), Janice Phillips (second place, 93) and Christi Lewis (third place, 96). Third flight—Lynne Richardson (first place, 97), Kay Lloyd (second place, 98) and Donna Lange (third place, 99).

Golfing days for women are held on Wednesday mornings at the Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield, and those interested are invited to join in the fun, according to Barbara Ronan.

The group meets at the course at 9:45 a.m. for 10 o’clock tee times. “We will play different games each week. Captain’s choice this week and we will draw cards to see who you play with. (It’s) super fun to get to know some great ladies in the area,” Ronan said last week.
