The Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association held a play day (Odd Holes Less Handicap) on July 16 at the Hartfield course. Winners were:

First flight—Nina Carter (first place, 32), Nancy Pannell (second place, 32) and Gloria Matthews (third place, 33). Second flight—Christi Lewis (first place, 30), Kay Lloyd (second place, 31) and Vicki Carr (third place, 33). Third flight—Patricia Olson (first place, 31), Betty Johnson (second place, 32) and Karen Gorin (third place, 34).
