Julianna Laign of Gloucester (pictured at left with District Conservationist Sam Markwith), and Ivar Golden (pictured right), and Scotty Chase (not pictured), both of Mathews, were recognized as winners of the Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual poster contest. The 2021 theme was “Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities.” All received a $25 gift certificate for winning in their age group and their posters went on to be judged in the state competition.
