Artist Jenny McMurtrie was named winner of the 2023 Market Days Poster Contest. The Mathews Market Days Committee made the announcement during a reception Saturday at the Bay School Community Arts Center. Posters of McMurtrie’s painting on the theme “Mathews: The Pearl of the Chesapeake” will be available for purchase at Market Days, to be held Sept. 8 and 9 in downtown Mathews.
