Polling place now on opposite side of GHS

Gloucester voters who previously cast their ballots at the Roanes precinct at Gloucester High School will be voting on the opposite side of the building during the Dual Party Primary Presidential Election, which is scheduled for March 1. Gloucester voter registrar Bobbi Morgan said the new location at GHS is the school’s auxiliary gymnasium.

According to Morgan, voters who come to GHS will need to park in the parent drop-off loop at the main entrance to the school, not on the bus loop side. Voters will enter the building through the “D Hall” entrance and not the student entrance. “We want to avoid any safety issues while maintaining your access to enter and exit the voting area,” Morgan said.

She added that the new location is a permanent change and that there will be signs directing voters to the new entrance on Election Day. No changes to any other polling locations have been made, she said.
