Police Unity Tour

The 2017 Police Unity Tour made a stop at Page Middle School last week where the bicyclists were greeted by the entire student body. At left, Matthew Singleton was assisted by sixth grader Nicholas Sanders as he attached the memorial plaque made by Sanders to his bike. Sanders made the plaque to honor California police officer Lesley Zerebny, who was killed last year while on a call. Singleton was riding to honor her and his father, Terry Singleton, the only Gloucester Sheriff’s Office deputy to die in the line of duty. Above, the tour prepared to depart the school.
