Plunky & Oneness to perform tonight at Mathews Memorial Library

Get ready for an evening of electrifying Afro jazz as legendary saxophonist and bandleader, Plunky Branch, brings his renowned group of performers to Mathews Memorial Library at 7 o’clock tonight, Thursday, July 10. Fans and those new to his music can expect an exhilarating evening of jazz, soul and spoken word from this popular group, a release stated.
J. Plunky Branch, a two-time National Endowment for the Arts Fellow, international touring artist and cultural ambassador, has spent decades creating a musical culture and pushing musical boundaries. He remains a groundbreaking force in music and a dynamic culture-changing advocate.
Following the July performance, a program to take place on Thursday, Aug. 21, will feature artists associated with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
