Plein air artist to be First Friday special guest

Award-winning plein air artist Hai-Ou Hou will be the special guest at Arts on Main’s First Friday, to be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at the gallery on Main Street in Gloucester.

Live music will be provided by acoustic-guitarist/instrumentalist Louis C. Vangieri, aka The LCV Project, playing a blend of folk, country swing, pop/rock, and traditional styles. Vangieri has opened for Livingston Taylor, Taj Mahal, Ralph Towner and Chris Smither, and currently performs in the Williamsburg area.

The event is free and open to the public, with a beer and wine cash bar and food available for purchase. Plein air workshop

Hai-Ou Hou will lead a two-day plein air workshop at Arts on Main on Nov. 4 and 5 for artists of all levels and in all media.
