The exhibition “A Wandering Path: The Works of Deliece Blanchard,” will open at First Friday, on Friday, March 5, at Arts on Main in Gloucester. Hours are 5-7 p.m.
Live music will be by Arts on Main’s March Artist in Residence, The Bergamot Quartet. The quartet will perform one set at the top of each hour. Violinist Ledah Finck, violist Amy Huimei Tan, cellist Irène Han and violinist Sarah Thomas, who are from New York City and Baltimore, are performing as part of their monthlong residency.
Blanchard’s plein air and studio paintings are impressionistic and frequently depict her favorite environment, the Blue Ridge Mountains, said a press release.
She was in the 2019 National Juried Exhibition of the American Impressionist Society, the 2019 AIS National Small Works Show, and the 2018 Oil Painters of America National Salon Show. Her painting “Blueberry Harvest” appeared in the April 2020 issue of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine.
