Please tell us

In one week, our countrymen will pause to celebrate the uniquely American holiday of Thanksgiving. This is a time of counting our blessings; and in spite of high unemployment, money worries everywhere, and rancor in the political world, there are plenty of things for which almost anyone can be thankful.

We have excellent schools and medical care; close-knit and caring communities; good neighbors; fine stores; the list is endless.

Please tell us

Now it’s your turn, faithful readers, to tell us what makes you thankful. Please send us your thoughts by Monday. We would like to print your responses on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24. Send your comments, in 200 words or less, to Gazette-Journal, P.O. Box 2060, Gloucester, Va. 23061; fax to 693-7844; bring them by the office and visit for a bit; or e-mail them to homepage@gazettejournal.net. We hope to hear from you.
