Dr. Roger Emory recently opened an office at Sentara Medical Arts Center in the Gloucester Business Park, White Marsh. He operates a solo practice and trades as Plastic Surgery Specialists, P.C.

Emory said he became interested in the medical field by the time he was in junior high school. His sister had cerebral palsy and his father had surgery related to his service during the Vietnam War. Also, he had a mentor, a doctor, while in high school.

Plastic surgeons operate mostly on the face and breasts, Emory said. He performs some surgeries in his offices in Abingdon in southwest Virginia, Williamsburg and now Gloucester. In addition, he does some surgical procedures at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center and Riverside Doctors’ Hospital, both in Williamsburg.
