Don Sandridge, Ruritan Zone 4 Governor, and Barbara Bauer, Secretary, Gloucester Ruritan Club, recently turned in 151.1 pounds of plastic bags to be recycled for the purchase of park benches for the county in coordination with the Gloucester Lions Club. It takes 67 bags to make one pound. Since the project began in 2020, the club has collected 1,339.9 pounds of bags, diverting them from the landfill.
