Plant sale to benefit GHS horticulture program

Gloucester High School horticulture students will hold their annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Friday at the greenhouse behind GHS.

This year’s sale features two new offerings—hanging succulent gardens that can be used as vertical hangers or horizontal centerpieces and pallet gardens that can hold herbs and produce plants.

Also for sale will be hanging baskets with ferns, spider plants, pothos, wandering Jew, petunias and begonias. The produce selection includes tomato, pepper, squash, watermelon, cucumber and pumpkin, and there will be herbs and flowering annuals and perennials. For more information, call agriculture teacher Katie Staples at 693-7796.
